From the editor
The proposed musical edition is conceived as a series of issues dedicated to the creation of the young composer Alexander Letunov. The releases include musical works of various genres, forms and various stylistic modes. We hope that this series will enrich and expand the concert repertoire of accordionists.
The young composer is prone to bold creative experiments, which is reflected in the unconventional textural embodiment of thematic, the variety of genres, and the original interpretation of the form. The pieces included in this issue were created during 2000-2001. The choice of genres was largely determined by the preparation of A. Letunov for participation in international competitions for accordionists. Preserving the genre traditions of competition requirements (virtuoso piece, waltz, polka, fugue), the composer brought new unusual properties inherent in his individual style to each work.
The release is addressed to students of music colleges and universities, as well as concert performers.
